Mugello MotoGP Preview: Does Ducati Still Own Mugello? MotoGP visits some wonderful circuits and amazing locations throughout the season. The Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya close to one of the great cities of the world. The cauldron of fans that is Le Mans. The TT Circuit in Assen, a location steeped in racing history and a top tier track. Jerez, where passion and petrol collide. There are two that truly stand above the rest, though. Phillip Island, the fast, flowing, terrifying track perched on the edge of an ocean. And Mugello, a ribbon of asphalt painted across a Tuscan valley, where the crowd is deafening and chainsaw engines go to die. Both are set in stunning locations - Phillip Island at the edge of a cliff overlooking the Bass Strait, Mugello in the heart of Tuscany, surrounded by verdant hills and rich villas. But it is the track layout which lift them both head and shoulders above other circuits. Fast, flowing, challenging, a place where a 300+ horsepower MotoGP machine can stretch its legs and hit the rev limiter in top gear.
