Tech3 Extend Contract With KTM - KTM Reaffirms Commitment To MotoGP After months of speculation that the Tech3 squad were on the verge of a switch to Honda, the team now led by Günther Steiner has confirmed that they will be staying with KTM for the next three seasons. Steiner announced the deal in a press conference on Saturday at the Barcelona round of MotoGP. Honda had been keen to lure Tech3 away and expand their presence on the grid to six bikes. Having more bikes on the grid means more data, as Ducati have shown in previous years, and with the introductions of new technical regulations in 2027, with the switch to 850cc, Pirelli tires, reduced aerodynamics and the removal of ride-height devices, that extra data would be a major benefit.
