Alberto Puig To Transition To Advisor Role For HRC In 2027
Honda Racing Corporation today announced that from 2027, Alberto Puig is to move away from his role as team manager and take on an advisory role for HRC. Puig is to take on a role overseeing Honda's MotoGP and WorldSBK projects at a higher level, rather than the day-to-day involvement of a team manager.
There is as yet no news of who is to replace Puig as team manager. Current Trackhouse Racing team manager Davide Brivio is set to leave the American team and make the switch to HRC, but Brivio will not take over from Puig as team manager. I understand that Brivio is to take on a consultancy role on the commercial side of HRC.
As of this moment, it is not known who will take over from Puig as team manager. It is believed to be someone already inside the MotoGP paddock, but HRC are yet to make an official announcement.
More on Alberto Puig's departure, and the view of the Spaniard from inside of HRC, in tonight's Barcelona round up.
