"textContent": "> >\n> Also if someone is willing to dig into stuff eg https://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D0%92%D0%9B22 the first one was retired in the 70s but there is literally just one still operating. I marked it as 70s retirement. Perhaps read through the data if time-rich....:/\n>\n> Wikipedia says \"at least one\", not just one. Realism-wise I would suggest making dedicated Ukrainian locomotives unavailable before 2050. TEP150 was produced in Luhansk in 2005-2008, no new units were built since then and AFAIK the factory does not produce any locomotives at all since 2014. Factory that produced DE1 and DS3 was announced bankrupt in 2017 and since neither design was particularly successful it is unlikely that someone would bother trying to restore their production.\n\nThanks - i was using google translate.\nI don't want to make everything hyperrealistic. An element of it is laziness/automation, ie having one exception (Ukraine) from the generic \"model life\" is a pain in the backside and then others will want to be exempted too - I think having the real vehicle life lengths is already a pretty good step in the realistic direction. The other thing is availability for long-play. A lot of the new engines are actually xMUs so keeping only those wouldn't be beneficial, especially within regions. E-EU doesn't really have too many late heavies, the V63 would be one but it's not that new and iirc there aren't many outside the ex-Soviet manufacturing area. So having Ukrainian heavy lifters for the longer play is a good thing. Also Russia for some reason is classified as Asia, not E-EU, not sure why (I'm tempted to make it \"both\") so at the moment all the Russian vehicles are excluded from EEU.\n\nEdit: also perhaps an option is to separate out \"Russian\" from \"Ukranian\" wrt Soviet vehicles. While this wouldn't affect items intro'd after 1990 but the region split might become more logical that way.\n\nStatistics: Posted by nemethv — 27 May 2026 19:46\n\n* * *",
