Actually, I feel that AXIS is slightly easier than FIRS if you have access to refit wagons. I am currently repurposing some of my trains to refit at stations and pick up goods, reducing the number of empty trains and also multiple trains on the same line. This requires a quick rethink of my strategy and I am feeling optimistic that we can finally, after 20-odd years of playing this game, finally completing a map.
