Graphics Development • Re: [32bpp] GETS - German Extrazoom Train Set (development)
Is it really necessary to model nearly "every" Prussian locomotive even the class does not add anything new/different to the locomotive fleet? Don't get me wrong I play more or less only with Prussian vehicles in my early games. But do I need a second, third or fourth class with similar properties when I can use an already existing type? Until now we see only machines from Prussia, Bavaria and Württemberg but there is not a single locomotive/wagon from Saxony, Hassia, Baden or Mecklenburg.
Maybe it's availability of proper photos as a base for drawing or simply personal preference?
I also greatly enjoy the set and only recently discovered that there are now also some Swiss narrow gauge vehicles, although of pretty recent age (from 1970s on).
It would be cool to see next - in addition to the original "Krokodil" Ce 6/8, the "Seetal-Krokodil" De 6/7 and the German/Austrian E94/194/1020 - the RhB Ge 6/6 with some coaches for early Alpine scenarios.
Another "easy catch", since only a color variant, would be the Austrian version of the DR/DB BR 52.
Finally, for my Hamburg scenario, some of the S-Bahn BR 470/471 in blue color would be super-nice, which should not be too far from the S-Bahn Berlin ET 167
