"textContent": "> Dear openttd junkies\n>\n> I'm in love with this simulation for decades now, started as a teenager with TTD and am really impressed how far the sim has evolved over the years. Especially the JGRPP game mode improvements and the visuals by @temporal8 are so amazing.\n>\n> Nevertheless, it feels like there is still a tiny bit missing to make the sim feel really realistic: the city building algorithms still create city's by arbitrarily combining tiles from the townsets - placing one by one instead of having a plan to create larger meaningful areals.\n>\n> I started to build such cities manually by deactivating automatic city building and placed tiles one by one. The result is beautiful but it just takes too much time to enjoy the sim for larger networks.\n>\n> Im curious if it is possible to alter the city building algorithm in a way it creates connected areals instead of placing single tiles. Anyone thought about this as well already? Any ideas how to start/where to look into?\n>\n> Anzac011.jpg\n> Anzac012.jpg\n> Anzac013.jpg\n>\n> Many thanks and kind regards, Tobias\n\nI took another look at your city; it's really good and the details are well-designed. The only thing I don't like is the lack of any trucks or trains. For example, I often have to fix something because the line is overloaded, so I switch from tram to metro or light rail.\n\nStatistics: Posted by gravelpit — 29 Apr 2026 18:45\n\n* * *",
