General OpenTTD • Re: OpenTTD - Steam and GOG

Through the years, I have donated thousands of dollars to the OpenTTD cause. I will continue to do so, for as long as it remains free and open source. Only when it becomes a for-profit enterprise will my contributions end, as they would no longer be necessary. If it does end, it will never erase the years of happiness and contentment I experienced and continue to experience in my own little transport universe. It remains one the very best monetary investments I ever made.

Steam and GoG were free advertising for the project. They did their job - the exposure on pay-to-play platforms brought OpenTTD to every corner of the connected world.

Wherever we go from here, we will always have OpenTTD. Such is the power of the Digital Millennium.
