I guess this is the first time you can legally buy this version of the game in roughly 25 years?
No. I bought the game on CD-ROM on an auction last year. It was sent from Australia to Brazil. This was the only legal way I found to have the game.
Yes you've been able to buy it second hand, but that's not a new sale. It hasn't brought more legal copies in circulation, only moved them around.
