"textContent": "If you removed the signals at the end of the platforms, because it is a terminus station and you are using path signals on the approaches to the station, the inbound trains will wait until a platform is free and outbound trains will wait in the platform until their desired path is available - the OpenTTD logic prevents the trains from moving until they can reserve a path, even though there's no signal.\n\nTo resolve the situation depicted:\n\n 1. STOP all 5 trains - click on each one to bring up the info window and click the big button at the bottom to make the green flag turn red.\n 2. 'Reverse direction' AND 'Ignore signals' for the longer of the two stuck trains. Start it. Once it's behind fully behind the path signal, stop it and (optionally) reverse its direction again.\n 3. Repeat for the train current under the bridge (and any further back along the line), to make way for the shorter of the two stuck trains.\n 4. Remove the piece of track at the junction behind this 2nd train so that it when you reverse its direction it can only go back under the bridge. Once it's behind the signal, stop it.\n 5. NOW it's time to remove the signals at the end of the platforms.\n 6. Start the trains in the platforms\n 7. Start the two stuck trains\n 8. Change the OpenTTD setting to only show the path signals, unless you really DO want those extra signal AND know how to use them.\n\n\n\nStatistics: Posted by skc — 20 Mar 2026 00:47\n\n* * *",
