"textContent": "> Scummy move all around.\n\nAgreed, unfortunately it is now modus operandi (also the name of one of my battlebots!) for Atari, their entire method of trying to make money is nostalgia bait and trying to get every to buy their games all over again despite almost certainly already owning it or have owned it in the past. Gladly Ataris financial situation is thought to be fairly grim and losing money at present, so here is hoping this only makes gamers more irate and sinks them further, the little scuzz buckets.\n\nThe silence on both sides is pretty telling, and also suggests OpenTTD is not quite as legal as they like to think, or rather Atari reminded them of their lawyers vs their own, and no one decided to take on that invite that could have changed gaming for the better. I'm currently engaging with someone on Reddit about it, who claims to have some sort of receipt from Ataris side, but we'll see if they send me anything i can verify or not. My money is not.\n\nStatistics: Posted by Redirect Left — 17 Mar 2026 18:12\n\n* * *",
