i am making a large heightmap of north america. say i have a raster file of the same resolution and projection as my heightmap, which marks each pixel that would have a river. is there a method, similar to the one which can be used to place towns, to transfer some sort of table containing each of those pixel coordinates into a scenario?
That would be very neat, but as far as I know, there is no such option - for sure not outside some special patches.
Another option, instead of having a raster file with river pixels and much smaller in size, would be to define x,y-tuples along the stretch of a river and then have the scenario editor connect those using the normal river generation algorithm.
The general procedure for such an approach isn't difficult but unfortunately, I lack the programming skills to turn this into C++ code.
