General OpenTTD • Prodcution increasements at primary industries not equal?

Hi. As I am sometimes managing with cargos from primary industries, I wonder why that mine/forest increases its production per month that quick while the other one takes too long to reach its max, even when both cities have the statue of the company owner. Is it just on coincidence? I may be completely wrong at all but still thanks for your help.
