Such lolz.\n>\n> Seriously, do a fork. dP has, which is at least a credible response to his criticisms of the development culture.\n\nI generally agree with you - some people here make requests as if this is a paid product with a fixed \"support plan\".\n\nI tend to respond that in this case, I'd be happy to undertake requested changes, but my rate is somewhere in the range of a couple of hundred Euro per hour (not unrealistic, have a colleague who does consulting and charges EUR 1.000,- per afternoon to bascially talk about the current state of his field while drinking coffee  )\n\nStill, the feedback cycle between users and developers could certainly be improved, in particular since there does not seem to be a single \"one-stop-shop\" for everything (anymore), but rather quite diverse communication channels, some of which are not easy to recognize, especially for infrequent or new players.\n\nNobody needs to discuss internals of some data structures or functions outside the core developers - but I still think in particular GUI and standard game graphics changes would certainly benefit from a broader discussion before finally being implemented.\n\nWhy not, for example, present a couple of different \"mock-ups\" here to the forum before implementation?\n\nStatistics: Posted by ebla71 — 18 Feb 2026 19:16\n\n* * *",
