She took the device gingerly, cradling it in her hands like it would disappear, eyes trained on the features. They were hers, everything from her unable to miss bright blonde hair, down to the beauty mark on her upper lip, it was all there. Something that should’ve been unsettling, at the very least, but all she felt was an undeniable pull to it. Her avatar’s eyes were closed, but she imagined the sharp blue hidden behind even bluer eyelids staring back at her. Despite the circumstance, Clarke realized with a slow exhale that her dream had finally come true. She would finally get to experience the ground.
