The first Tsuruma Park Jazz Fest brings big band sets, trio performances, Okinawan jazz, and open jam sessions to one of Nagoya's oldest park stages. All day this Saturday, (¥2,000 donation requested.) Bring your instrument or just bring a blanket!

Black Women in Japan's fourth national conference arrives at Nanzan University June 27–28. Keynote talks, workshops on careers, business and rights in Japan, a vendor marketplace, and a conference dinner in Motoyama. Early bird tickets close tomorrow on Peatix.

Every summer, Toyohashi decorates a streetcar, loads it with Kirin draft, and sends it rolling through the city. The 2026 season starts this week and runs through October. Ninety minutes, all-you-can-drink, ¥5,300.
