Yurumaru Wellness Event April 29
Yoga, biryani, and a DJ in a Tenpaku karate dojo
The building is normally a karate dojo. On April 29 — Showa Day — the second floor of Toshin Budokan in Tenpaku gets repurposed for Yurumaru, a community wellness event that BLISS WORKOUT organizer Nanaka Abayomi has been running around Aichi since 2013.
Previous editions have been held in Tokoname, Kariya, and Tenpaku. This one follows a similar format: yoga, integrative wellness sessions, food, music, and... a gathering of people who might not otherwise end up in the same place.
The day runs 09:00 to 16:00 , and the admission price covers more than entry. The ticket includes a group yoga session, hand-touch care massage, and an autogenic training session led by Dr. Ryoki Ishihara of Fujita Medical University's General Medicine Department.
The afternoon moves into a yoga circuit with eight instructors , a breathing workshop at 15:00 , and a health check session with a certified public health nurse and psychologist.
DJ HIROMI — 35 years in Soul and multi-genre mixing — plays across the day.

The integrative health booths are worth a look on their own. Physical therapist TaKaShiMa , with 20 years of experience, is running 15-minute sessions targeting underused muscles and joint alignment — practical bodywork rather than passive treatment. There is also traditional Japanese Reiki from Himiho , and gentle acupuncture and moxibustion for all ages from Clinic NAGI , based in Higashi-ku.
The food vendors deserve a mention. Dancer Yutaka is running an onigiri stall — rice balls, side dishes, rolled omelet, optional miso soup. Sammy-sensei is serving Pakistani chicken biryani with yogurt sauce, with vegetarian options available. Another stall has Algerian couscous and makroud , a traditional semolina and date pastry. There is also handmade wagashi and cheesecake fromOyatsu-ya Komachi , and Balinese coffee brought directly from a farm in northern Bali.DR. K, a Nagoya-based graffiti artist known for live painting events around the city, will also be on site.
