Born and raised in London, Kevin Andrew Heslop, 33, a globetrotting author, poet and filmmaker, has published The Writing on the Wind’s Wall: Dialogues About Medical Assistance in Dying. The book explores MAID – a process in which a doctor or nurse practitioner assists a patient with a grievous or irremediable medical condition, at their request, to intentionally end their life – which has recently made headlines. Legalized in 2016, nearly 76,500 deaths had been reported in Canada through MAID as of 2024. Heslop spoke with LFP’s Brian Williams about his book. Read More
