Illusions hide beauty within, but I only use my eyes to see. I flee, and wolves come—giant and snarling.\n\nI am rescued by the beast, unexpectedly. I soften and bend, unexpectedly.\n\nSo does he.\n\nBut a gentle beast doesn’t belong, doesn’t fit expectations. Small men come, beautiful outsides hiding snarling monsters within.\n\nThey kill the beast.\n\nI fall with him.
