"textContent": "Every time I send a newsletter out, I end it asking for input or feedback on the newsletter itself. I've yet to receive a response, which tells me one of three things: People don't read until the end, people are happy with how things are, or people don't really have a preference.\n\nSo instead of asking about the newsletter, let me ask something else, right off the bat:\n\nClick reply to this email and answer this question:\n\n**What's your definition of success?**\n\n* * *\n\n## Pixels\n\nThe most read piece I've posted on Pixels and Pizza was a deeply personal one, where I revealed I'd lost confidence in myself and my work. I'm glad I wrote it. However, after writing it and having countless former colleagues and editors reach out to me, I had this nagging idea for a follow up piece I just couldn't get out of my head: What about the editors that pushed me to be better?\n\nSo, I sat down and wrote just that. It was, again, therapeutic to show my appreciation and recount some core memories of my early career.\n\nPlease take a few minutes to read about the editors who never let me settle.\n\n### Apple:\n\n * **AirPods Max 2:** Out of seemingly nowhere, Apple announced an updated pair of AirPods Max 2. The over-the-ear headphones now include the same features as current AirPods Pro.\n * **Apple's Foldable iPhone:** Rumor mills rarely agree on product specifics, but rumors surrounding Apple's upcoming foldable iPhone are giving me whiplash. One day it's achieved a critical verification step, the very next day it's delayed, and then later in the day everything's back on schedule. Buckle up, I have a feeling it's going to be like this until Apple makes it official.\n * **Apple's free Business solution:** Apple's gone back to the drawing board for its Business Management solution, which now includes hosted email, and, starting this summer, the ability to buy ads in Apple Maps. Oh, and it's free.\n\n\n\n### Android:\n\n * **Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 thoughts:** I've had the idea for a bullet point style review of devices for over a decade now, so I gave it a shot with my take on the Galaxy Z Fold 7. I'm not sold, but I had to try. Anyways, you can read my thoughts about Samsung's latest foldable (ahead of Apple's foldable).\n * **Android's new sideloading rules:** Google's requiring developers and users to jump through some extra hoops when it comes to sideloading apps in a bid to make Android more secure. I like the approach. I wish Apple would do something similar, actually.\n\n\n\n* * *\n\n## Pizza\n\nAlmost all's quiet on the pizza front right now, unfortunately. I'm still progressing in my shoulder recovery, doing PT at home twice a day and going into see my amazing therapists once a week.\n\nI hit a big milestone this week when my therapist handed me a one pound weight to incorporate into one of my exercises.\n\nLook, I know that doesn't sound like a lot. But for the last few weeks, I've felt like I wasn't progressing at all. As if I had stalled. So when I grabbed that weight out of her hand, I couldn't help but smile on the outside, while simultaneously freaking out on the inside. The light at the end of the tunnel may be closer than I realize, but I'm not going to get my hopes up yet.\n\nThat said, my life hasn't been completely quiet on the pizza front. We're already making plans for Sips & Pies next year, coming up with ideas how we can improve and streamline our setup. I've been talking to various pizzerias about shadowing (or staging) to continue learning. My pizza journey won't ever stop, especially when it comes to learning and getting better.\n\nHere at home, Gozney sent me its latest oven, the $400 Arc Lite, to test and review. I took some photos while unboxing it and firing it up for the first time. It's a looker! I've made half a dozen pizzas in it so far, with plans to do much more very soon.\n\nMore to come, but I can say with confidence this is a fantastic oven for those just starting their pizza journey who are looking for a dedicated pizza oven that's also affordable.\n\nThat's it for now. Until next time!\n\nI appreciate you,\n\nJason",
