"textContent": "How's it going? It's been a busy few weeks here. I launched this new site and newsletter at the beginning of the year, and since then have stuck to my goal of posting two stories a week, covering a wide range of topics.\n\nAs I promised with the relaunch, I'm only sending out limited newsletters, and sharing the majority of my work directly on the site. That means unless you've been frequently visiting the site, follow me on socials or subscribe to my RSS feed, you've likely missed out. I'll post a recap of what I've been working on below, but first – I'm a published author (again).\n\nMy first tech review in over two years has gone live. I guess that means I'm officially back?!? I'll admit, when I saw the Google Alert in my inbox, I smiled. It feels good to be writing and seeing my work live on the internet.\n\nI reviewed the Wyze Battery Video Doorbell for Tom's Guide. I won't spoil the whole thing, so here's just a snippet of the verdict, followed by a link to read the full review:\n\n> At $66, it's hard to find many faults in Wyze Battery Video Doorbell, especially when you look at it in the silo of Wyze's own lineup.\n\nRead the full review\n\n* * *\n\nAs promised, here's that quick recap of everything else I've been working on:\n\n * **Gaming:** I've been playing ARC Raiders and it's easily the most fun I've had in years.\n * **Personal:** I republished a 2013 story about the phrase \"victim of suicide\" and why it brought me comfort.\n * **AI:** My journey from shunning AI to (almost) fully embracing it.\n * **Links:** Stuff I found insightful or worth sharing from across the web, such as how much fun vibe coding is, validation about coming back to tech journalism, and a shout out to one of my favorite self hosted apps, Immich, after a major update.\n * **Mobile Pizzeria:** A recap of what the first year of Sips & Pies was like, as well as a brief look ahead to what year two currently looks like.\n * **Mobile:** I was pleasantly surprised when I was reminded that the Pixel 10 lineup supports AirDrop.\n\n\n\nThat's all I have for now. I’m still tweaking the format of these emails, so if you have thoughts on the mix of tech, pizza and life, hit reply and let me know. Or if you just want to update me on what's going on in your life, I'd love to hear about it.\n\n-- Jason",
