"textContent": "The Seattle Sounders ride a five-game league unbeaten streak into Sporting Park today. They’ll be lining up against a team very much going in the opposite direction, with Sporting KC having lost six straight across all competitions. Even worse, they’ve lost all six of those games by at least two goals and allowed at least three in each of them.\n\nThe Sounders will also be looking to extend some impressive road form, which has seen them go 3-1-1 in league play so far and not having allowed a goal since Feb. 28 against Real Salt Lake. That’s a road shutout streak of 403 minutes.\n\nSporting KC, meanwhile, has been shut out in each of their past two games and are riding a goal-less run that is now 243 minutes long.\n\nThe new issue of IV: The Sounder at Heart magazine is now available for pre-order. Issue 2 will focus on Seattle’s role in the 2026 World Cup.\n\n\n Pre-order now\n \n\n# Notes\n\n * The Sounders hold an all-time advantage of 15-12-4 against Sporting KC.\n * The Sounders are currently sitting on 99 all-time road wins in MLS play. That’s 18 more than the next closest team since the Sounders entered MLS in 2009.\n * The top three active goal-scorers against Sporting KC all play for the Sounders, including Jordan Morris who has nine. Jesús Ferreira has seven, while Danny Musovski has five.\n * With 19 points through eight games, the Sounders have tied their best all-time start. They’ll need to win this game to keep pace with their 2012 start.\n\n\n\n## Enjoying this content?\n\nSign up to get it delivered to your inbox everyday.\n\nSubscribe\n\nEmail sent!
