"textContent": "Seattle Reign finally make their 2026 Lumen Field debut this afternoon when they welcome the Utah Royals to Seattle following a two-week international break. The new natural grass surface at Lumen has hosted four games since it was installed at the beginning of the month, and so far it has held up quite well aside from some feedback that it plays fast and is a bit harder than would be ideal.\n\nBoth teams come into this game on three-match undefeated streaks – Utah beat the Chicago Stars 1-0 in their last game, while the Reign drew Denver Summit 0-0 to finish their Spokane homestand. The Reign have a 9-2-3 all-time record against both versions of the Royals, which includes a 5-1-1 home record. They have scored 21 goals while Utah has scored 13. In 2025, the Reign won both meetings between the two clubs, a 2-1 home win and a 4-1 victory in Utah.\n\nMatch preview: Seattle Reign vs. Utah RoyalsThe Reign finally return to Lumen Field on Sunday evening.Sounder at HeartSusie Rantz\n\n### Keys to the game\n\n * Win the battles in transition\n * Be tidy defending set pieces\n * Harness the energy of the first Lumen crowd of the year\n\n\n\n# Notes\n\n * Mia Fishel, Maddie Dahlien and Holly Ward are all off the injury list and available for selection. Backup goalkeeper Cassie Miller has also been activated from the long-term injury list for the first time in nearly a year. However, Jordyn Bugg and Sofia Cedeño picked up injuries while away on national team duty, and Ruby Hladek is also out with a leg injury.\n * Members of the Seattle Torrent will take part in a discussion panel ahead of the game, starting at 4:20 PM on the club level near section 210. Players from the Torrent will also lead the crowd in the Scarves Up ceremony before kickoff.\n * Season ticket holders can pick up their scarves near Cityside Bar at the top of the stairs in the North Plaza. The first 500 people to get their scarf will also receive a Claudia Dickey foam claw.\n * The Link 1 line is closed for construction this weekend between Rainier Beach and Sea/Tac Airport stations, with a shuttle bus replacing service on that segment.\n\n\n\n### Injuries, absences, suspensions\n\n**Reign:** OUT: Lynn Biyendolo (maternity leave), Jordyn Bugg (Leg), Sofia Cedeño (Leg), Ruby Hladek (Leg)\n\n**Royals:** OUT: Cece Delzer (Ankle), Madison Hammond (Lower Leg), Alex Loera (Knee - SEI), Lara Prašnikar (Thigh), KK Ream (Knee - SEI)\n\n## Recent form\n\n**Reign** : WLWWD (3-1-1, +3 GD; 3rd place)\n**Royals** : LLDWW (2-2-1, 0 GD; 7th place)\n\n## Officials\n\nREF: Matt Thompson; AR1: Seth Martin; AR2: Kristin Patterson; 4TH: Justin St. Pierre; VAR: Brad Jensen\n\n## How to Watch\n\n**Match date/kickoff time** : Sunday, April 26th, 5 PM PT\n\n**Venue** : Lumen Field, Seattle\n\n**Broadcast** : Victory+ (Josh Eastern & McCall Zerboni)\n\n**Radio:** KJR 950 AM (Jackson Felts, Stephanie Verdoia & Kwame Appiah)\n\n**Is this game available to stream for free in the US?** Yes\n\n## Lineups\n\n> Tonight's starting XI, back at Lumen Field 👊 Lineup Notes ➡️ rgnfc.com/4mRwNGH\n>\n> — Seattle Reign FC (@reignfc.com) 2026-04-26T23:06:42.393Z\n\n> Starting things off with this XI 👑\n>\n> — Utah Royals FC (@utahroyalsfc.com) 2026-04-26T23:15:12.946Z\n\n## Highlights\n\n1' - a bad giveaway on a pass in the defensive third sees Utah pounce, with Paige Cronin launching a shot far corner and past Claudia Dickey. 1-0 Royals\n\n> CAPTAIN PAIGE 🫡 Mina Tanaka sets it up, Paige Cronin BLASTS it!\n>\n> — NWSL (@nwslsoccer.com) 2026-04-27T00:23:49.212Z\n\n7' - Utah again, this time off a corner as Narumi Miura takes a shot from 20 yards. 2-0 Royals\n\n45+1' - Another bad defensive giveaway is pounced on by Utah, and Cloé Lacasse fires a shot near side and past Dickey. 3-0 Royals\n\n> Kate Del Fava with a perfect through ball to find Cloé Lacasse for the finish 👑 Utah Royals lead 3-0 in the first half!\n>\n> — NWSL (@nwslsoccer.com) 2026-04-27T01:15:30.895Z\n\n* * *\n\nJoin the discussion in our Discord gamethread (Supporter tier and above), or in the comments below.\n\nThis is Seattle Reign vs. Utah Royals; watch with us\n\n _Sounder at Heart receives a portion of all sales made from links on this page._",
