"textContent": "The Seattle Sounders will be looking to get back on the positive side following a loss Real Salt Lake last week. The match at St. Louis City begins what will be the first busy stretch of 2026, with five matches across all-competitions between now and March 22.\n\nWhile certainly not a must-win match, it does likely represent the Sounders' best chance to collect some road points during this seven-game stretch of games away from Lumen Field. St. Louis City has not, historically, been particularly strong at home. Last year, they won just four games at Engergizer Park – tied for the fewest in the Western Conference – and they are currently on a five-game home winless run that stretches back to the end of 2025.\n\nSt. Louis City has a new coach, Yoann Dammet, who has instituted a new style that is a bit more progressive than previous coaches and leans a bit more into attacking principles.\n\n# Notes\n\n * This will be the second of five straight league road games for the Sounders as FIFA installs grass at Lumen Field. The Sounders' next home game is April 12 against Real Salt Lake.\n * The Sounders are 5-1-0 in six previous games against St. Louis City.\n * Cristian Roldan scored his 44th career goal last week, also ending a 32-match goal-less streak in league play.\n * St. Louis has scored four own-goals in six all-time meetings with the Sounders.\n\n\n\n## Enjoying this content?\n\nSign up to get it delivered to your inbox everyday.\n\nSubscribe\n\nEmail sent!
