the character fullsize images don't provide a rightclick save image as option. I even tried removing the overlay, still no right click save as.

Ah I didn't try to grab the transparent character images. You didn't specify exactly what you were trying to grab, so I assumed they'd be the "scenic" displays. But, considering you've managed to get what you were trying to do (and indeed none of it is actually protected media there) I'm considering this solved.
