Agreed, that's weird. You could still make a prominent notice in the installer (with a "Do not show again" option, if feasible), no links, but add it as a bookmark, along with the existing defaults in the Bookmarks Toolbar.

Also, for all new registered Forum users, make sure to include it in a Welcome email. (which could include valuable info itself)
