It's more the notion that I don't want to undermine things phpBB devs have put into place for security reasons and hacking away at the internals of it. I recommend attaching images to posts anyway, so things on the forum making sense/being complete are not incumbent on whatever online image service being perpetually available.

Off-topic: But you can have your opinion about me, if you want. I honestly don't care.
