Web Compatibility Support • Paypal "things don't appear to be working at the moment", on FreeBSD

When I try to complete a transaction with Paypal, I always get the "Things don't appear to be working at the moment" message. This is happening now with PM 34.2.2 in safe mode on FreeBSD 15. As well as on Windows 10. (There's no problem with Firefox.) Below is the browser console output. I would appreciate any help.
