… there is a point in not implementing stuff (ignoring JS) that it does get kind of silly. At some point, the in-fighting in the browser community needs to stop, and we can just work on — together without the fear that a certain company may create a monopoly.

We are running like the Red Queen here. No sooner have our developers managed to implement the latest ES20xx standard than a new one has appeared. Google already enjoys the monopoly and the ability to promulgate these new standards, again and again, after consulting a few of its partners to press their rubber stamps. Ultimately, the mainstream browsers’ development is funded by Google, and this includes funding which passes through Mozilla. Google has bought influence and wields it so non-commercial developers like ours find ourselves where we are. It is hardly infighting, but struggling to survive.
