"textContent": "> Not currently using a Linux distro (though that might change in the future), but I was wondering if the Qt mentioned is the same one that's using google chromium for QtWebEngine..?\n\nYeah, a lot of toolkits have embedded Qt or WebKit of some variety, but I don't think that has anything to do with whether they work for other applications. The only thing QtWebEngine affects, if anyone wants to take advantage of it, is a really easy way to implement the equivalent of SubWebview on Linux without shipping a whole copy of Chromium Embedded Framework. Otherwise, it's kind of talking about apples and oranges... Windows didn't stop being a viable platform for Pale Moon because of Microsoft's Webview component, GTK didn't stop working with Firefox because of WebkitGTK. What browser the toolkit embeds really has nothing to do with whether UXP can use it.\n\n* * *",
