I've also recently got a crash browsing Github with Pale Moon on Windows 8.1. But It's not something I can easily reproduce

Not sure if related to your crash, but I am able to consistently lock up the browser to the point that the slow scripts killer doesn't stop the script and I have to completely kill the browser. Go to any repo that runs GitHub Actions, go to an Action run, and hover your mouse over the diagram outlining the GitHub Action's steps and the progress through each step. It will 100% of the time freeze the browser.
