"textContent": "I just upgraded from Pale Moon 33.8.2 to 34.2.0. The process wasn't without its challenges, but I finally found the French language option. I won't dwell on the confusion between the old and new parallel temporary versions, a problem solved by overwriting the files as administrator. I did some further testing—well, I don't remember exactly, but I tested several sites until I realized that some weren't working, or rather, weren't working under Pale Moon. Now, overall, everything seems to work, except for one site that might be interesting for development, but I can't mention it here. Its behavior would be valuable for improving website display. During my tests, these weren't necessarily sites I usually visit, but simply test sites, like frandroid.com, which now works. On the other hand, everything is grayed out under Basilisk, which is surprising. I'm astonished that it works better.\n\nSo I'm comparing the resource usage of the two browsers again using complex commands:\n\n(Note that this may vary from computer to computer. Tabs are open, and the result is displayed when opening the DDG homepage with a dark theme.) Pale Moon: 402.926 MB, Basilisk: 481.035 MB (the latter is larger because it goes through the Basilisk custom engine tab, then returns to the DDG tab with a white background, which eventually turns gray-black). And just for fun:\n\nWaterFox: 1188.24 MB\n\nOn another machine, Falkon is still slightly larger than Chromium, but the latter is at least 100 MB larger than Firefox. The average of my tests is 1.6 GB for Chromium and 1.5 GB for Firefox. It would be wise for Basilisk, and perhaps Pale Moon as well, to implement a solution to avoid releasing a new language version with each update (34.0, 34.1, 34.2, etc.). However, I'm not sure this would be easy to implement in future versions.\n\nIn any case, if I continue using Pale Moon, a dark mode like AutoPageColor would be very welcome, ideally with automatic activation on launch for this plugin, but which remains active without requiring constant access to the settings.\n\nAlso, what's the best way to replace the quick translation with a simple click in the address bar? Last year, I was offered the old method, but right-clicking isn't very practical and only works on certain parts of the page, and not on all websites.\n\nBy the way, I tested OneTab, which, in Basilisk, doesn't have an icon in the extensions list—a minor detail, admittedly, but impossible to find. A quick access tab on the left or right would be necessary, as well as a button to redirect all files to it. I haven't retested Pale Moon on version 34.2.0. On version 33.8.2, its performance was less stable than on Firefox, but still acceptable.\n\nApologies in advance for any translation errors.\n\n* * *",
