I tnink question was about mulithreading and its conrast with e10s.

And yes, properly improving multithreading should be able to fix lockups without introducing issues that mutiprocess(e10s) is famous for.

Mozilla chose multiprocessing due to 2 things:

• Chrome cargo-cult
• Hope that OS process isolation will do security for them. Look how well that played out...
