Well that may be, but I'm not seeing any remarks on the website protocols that left me no choice but to take that step.

Namely, the site failed to send (TWICE) the promised validation emails when I sought to update my old account. So after that, the old account would no longer let me login.

And then the site provides no means to address profile edit complication, via contact with an administrator.

If that becomes available -- I didn't see a response from you on that point --- then I will use that means to arrange for the old account to be closed.

Assuming you haven't done that already !
