No, it has already caused confusion where people explicitly indicate non-functional mozconfig options and them not doing anything, so making sure to remove them from the list of (currently!) valid options is what should happen. Adding a bunch of extra work documenting a list of options every release is quite nonsensical busywork and I won't do it.

It's not that difficult. If configure fails with an "unknown option" from mozconfig, then it's time to remove it as it obviously won't work. "Do it now, not later/forget about it"
