What a year, huh? (Final end of the month/year blog post + short recap - 31.12.2025)
Man, this year has been... a wild ride. Not just for me, but for everyone in general... and the last month hasn't been calmer and better either.
Welcome to my last blog post of the year, can't believe it's the last day of 2025... we'll be doing a short recap of what happened this year in my life/general.
But first... let's talk about this month.
December has been absolutely busy and wacky for the most part due to us having to move places unexpectedly. If you don't remember, on my birthday (which was November 30th) we've received a notice that we'd have to move out by December 22nd due to... an apartment's owner's daughter planning to move in. Yup. (Yes I said landlord before instead of owner and that was my fault at getting that part wrong, but oh well.)
Day later after my birthday we slowly started packing our things and also we've been hunting for our new place every day, with the help of my sister. For the first couple of weeks, we had no luck of finding anything. The first one turned out to be literally smelly, and the other one... well, we got no word on that after my sister contacted its owner about it... and on the top of that, she got sick, yippee!
Thankfully after my sister felt better we finally got something. It's the house we live in, but different entrance and apartment. Originally we were supposed to move in on December 17th, but the universe just kept persisting. My sister and her husband had to do a lot of work-related stuff so we had to push it to 19th. This has honestly made me feel crashed and defeated even if it wasn't a small delay because I was so fucking tired of things getting in my way.
Thankfully on December 19th we've finally managed to move into our new place, but even after this a couple of days has been really busy because we had to unpack stuff plus we needed time to get used to things again.
All of this moving stuff has heavily impacted my time to draw so I had to limit myself to working on just one artwork per week, but after January holidays are over I'm gonna try my best to slowly get back on my feet. I'm probably gonna be sticking to mostly traditional art during that to get back into the swing of things since I haven't done it in a hot minute.
But anyways... after we've finished unpacking stuff, I've spent Christmas just finishing my art and then chilling for the rest of the day.
I think that's pretty much it about things that happened on my side this month.
And now... it's time to recap 2025.
A lot has happened this year. A lot of ups and downs, that's for sure.
The things that make all of us worry about the future of the internet with all of the age verification stuff that is slowly spreading across the world and it's... really concerning. I said this before but all of this has been questioning about how long my online presence would last... but I'm trying my best to stay strong despite all of this. It's really hard to do this, especially now... but I'm not giving up that easily.
The universe just kept doing its best to not let me draw as well. It felt like it wouldn't stop. And yet I kept fighting.
On a good note... this year I started mostly focusing on my OCs, and I'm currently working on a project/story about some of them (specifically my goat girls: Luna and Rhea). I still have a lot to do, but I hope to finally settle for the title and start working on the chapters soon.
I could go on and on about things that happened to me/in general, but let's actually look back at every month.
For 2026 I have goals to just keep working on my project/story, get back into practicing my kalimba/synthesizer, possibly restart learning Japanese and hopefully... get into VR. It has been something I originally was planning to do once I'd move out of this shitty country and get a proper PC... but sadly with circumstances keeping on getting in my way I may have to do that early than I've planned.
So... 11 hours left before New Year for me... I'm excited and also scared at the same considering the current circumstances about the internet and life in general... but let's just hope that 2026 will be a much cozier year.
I'll see you in 2026.
And for those who it already got past midnight... Happy New Year!
