Unpatched macOS bug could allow tampering trusted applications

An interesting detail is that this does not affect apps downloaded via the MacOS App Store. Only applications downloaded directly from the internet can utilize this vulnerability. So, as always, make sure you absolutely trust any application you download. Especially if it is from outside the App Store.
