bodin:

Maybe check if browser.ipProtection.enabled is enabled in about:config, that worked for me.

Thanks for this tip. It’s enabled on my 2nd profile where Firefox VPN is available, but not on the other. The questions is, why? I didn’t manually tinker any of these settings, so it’s surprising that they are not the same.

bodin:

Despite being very excited to use it, I have turned off the VPN for now because I do not know if I can trust that Fastly is not logging traffic as @pvreq mentioned above . Them being a US based company worries me too.

That’s fair. I am not in hurry to use it either. I already have a full VPN subscription. However, I plan to use FF VPN on top of my VPN for specific tasks so I should be safe. That’s how I use browser extension VPNs like Windscribe.

On a regular basis, at least once a month, I have to perform a certain tasks simultaneously in two separate browsers, and it’s important that each website in each browser, are not connected to the same IP while I do the tasks. Hence the use of browser extension VPNs like Windscribe in one of those brwoser, and hopefully soon FF VPN.
