If you use a MasterCard card, there is an easy option to opt-out of the data analytics directly on their website; you just input the card number: https://www.mastercard.com/us/en/data-analytics-opt-out.html You can get to that website by going to: www.mastercard.com → Frequently asked questions → Privacy practices → “How can individuals control how their data is being used?” Sure, it’s questionable how well it works and how far it goes. But it is easy and better than nothing. Visa, as far as I can tell, does not have anything similar.
