Having options is nice but that’s not changing the issue here, you are only shifting trust. They are still centralized point of failure which can revoke payments and block your funds. Crypto currencies got that right, decentralizing the system so no one can freeze your money. Sadly after all these years cryptos are not widely accepted so they are not a real alternative for online payments and they often suffer too much volatility.
