  "textContent": "ffmpeg doesn’t verify TLS by default, and i believe same goes for VLC.\n\n\n    ‎libavformat/tls.h\n    define TLS_VERIFY_DEFAULT 0\n\n\nVLC uses ffmpeg’s network stack, which is pretty ass. Modern players use curl backend.\n\nAt least for mac OS, it’s safe to recommend IINA since it has nice UI. For Linux, mpv/ Celluloid flatpak.",
