Is iOS -> GrapheneOS worth it if losing iMessage

- They offer a work device
- I just send the information offer what ever channel is available from Android to iOS and if they get screwed, its their fault.
That is asinine to expect in various fields. A crappy minimum wage job isn’t going to supply a device and more and more of those require phones at least to clock in and out. Many workplaces have not caught up to this conversation and while here we would understand the significance of it at like a warehouse or fast food place or retail store they are not going to be thinking about it that deep. Even if you’re going to be selfish about it you as an employee of company would still be screwed over in the process. I as someone who is privacy conscious in the US am at least better off with iMessage as a harm reduction approach. It’s not a reality I like, but it’s the truth

If they are to ignorant to bother the few clicks to install a E2EE messenger, then no sensitive information should be shared with them.
This would only work if you’re planning on arranging something in person and being vague with phone calls and texts for people who have zero conception of what privacy and security even are under this context you just look socially incompetent or cold. Also, you keep saying no sensitive information should be shared, but what do you even classify as sensitive because something you may think is benign or nonsensical can be used against you or can be used to imply things about you

I only had 128GB phones or less and never run out of storage. Just use cloud/usb for photos or other media.
Same thing here, but I realize not everybody is like me and their phone storage exist for a reason

When was it higher?
Frankly, I think it’s when schools stopped teaching about computers that we saw the decline. I think, especially in the age of AI. It should be a graduation requirement to have basic computer literacy. As an older Gen Z, I find it concerning that I’ve been called a hacker for just turning my phone grayscale.
