Hister: A free & self-hosted personal search engine

It would absolutely make sense and it is on my future plans alongside creating downloadable smaller pre-indexed datasets to allow users to quickly extend their local index/database. I’d appreciate any kind of help designing/implementing these features even by describing use-cases or requirements.
