Signalapp doesn't actually delete messages when they're deleted (either manually or by automation)

I don’t think this is a new thing? I seem to recall this coming up a few times in various places and going back many years.

I seem to recall discussions about plaintext years ago and there were some improvements. As the piece you’ve posted says, it’s encrypted.
