"textContent": "Greetings all,\n\nDoes any one know how private it is to use Obsidian Publish for creating websites?\n\nObsidian\n\n### Obsidian Publish\n\nObsidian Publish is the easiest way to publish your wiki, knowledge base, documentation, or digital garden.\n\nThis is an example of an Obsidian website.\n\n**Privacy _from_ Obsidian**\n\nFor those who know, what are the payment options for Obsidian (I can’t seem to find it without an account)? From what I can assume, the most private way to pay is going to be with a virtual card. Some additional tips: use an email alias for an account; if you don’t want Obsidian to know your IP, use a VPN; if you are concerned with fingerprinting, use a private browser whenever you access your account on the website.\n\nAnother question: Has any one read their privacy policy?\n\n**Privacy _with_ Obsidian**\n\nNow the main part of the post. Are there any privacy concerns with using Obsidian to make something like a blog? I imagine that it might be easier for me because I don’t need to be concerned with WHOIS (since we can use the default `publish.obsidian.md` domain), but I don’t actually know. Is there any thing else I should be concerned with if my goal is to compartmentalize my identity? I am not demanding full anonymity _from_ Obsidian, but that the average, every day person within my audience can’t link the blog to me. Does Obsidian offer that?\n\nThanks you",
