"textContent": "Trump/MAGA seems to be on a crusade against all of the libertarian style Republicans, which for those unaware, are typically the type of Republicans that support privacy rights - at least as far as authoritarian government surveillance is concerned. (They’re less particular about surveillance capitalism unless it is a vehicle for government surveillance).\n\nRand Paul’s name has also been thrown around as one of the next political targets now that Tulsi Gabbard and Massie are ousted.\n\nIf things keep going at this pace, privacy rights might soon stop being a bipartisan issue. That’s not to say Democrats care about privacy either (except when virtue signaling privacy fits in line with their ulterior political objectives). Privacy rights is still a fringe issue in both parties. But, I haven’t seen as much inertia by Democrats to oust Ron Wyden, for example, as I have from Republicans wanting to oust libertarian-republicans.",
