AI as a centralizing force

AI feels like it’s simply the current most effective tool for wealth-extraction, it is incredible how so many companies have decided to funnel money into just 3 mega-corporations that have nothing but an incentive to make as much money as possible. So not only will their money be taken, but their data as well. And while they waste all their money they get some short-term returns by reducing their workforce. In the long-term, it will all blow up because the entire economy has turned anti-worker. And I do not comprehend how all of these companies that go crazy on AI seem to think they will have an advantage. If all capabilities are equalized by AI there is no competitive advantage and you go broke while the AI provider rakes in even more cash. It would not surprise me in the slightest if in the next couple months we see a ban of Chinese AI companies in the US similar to how they justified banning Chinese EVs. They will claim it’s for national security but in reality it’s to remove competition that could make national AI less profitable, margins must go up because investors want a profit.
