"textContent": "If you can suggest a viable alternative to democracy, I’m sure many would be interested to hear it. Democracies are fragile and need to be maintained, but as far as I can see it’s the best option we have right now.\n\nI’m curious as to why you think Europe is falling apart. Being a European myself, I am quite concerned about (very) right wing parties popping up everywhere, but I do not believe all is lost.\n\nWith regards to privacy, I’d say the EU has lately been a lot more restrictive towards big tech than for example the U.S. (the GDPR being perhaps the most famous example). I know there are legitimate concerns about lobbyists trying to diminish the impact of GDPR, but I’d like to believe we won’t back down.",
