"textContent": "It is not about threat model. It is a password manager, not life threatening subscription. BW, 1P and Proton have E2EE and zero knowledge, that is not the issue here. Bitwarden accepted VC money, but why? They already said that consumers are not their main income resource. They are getting main income from business clients and that 10 USD price from consumers were just a bonus. I was in the webinar with their management and I know what they said. Free users were never a concern because their cost was minimal, and already covered by the paying users.\n\nIf you wanna talk about Proton, yes, they are trying to compete with others, but considering they are not a newly founded startup with no funding and no knowledge about the market, I find their lack of features, disturbing. They couldn’t even manage to add features that Keepass has. Their main competitors are 1Password and Bitwarden, and look what they have accomplished so far.",
