I believe that paying and donating are essential to keeping these services running.\n\nSome argue that privacy is a right and therefore should be free, but that is a misleading oversimplification. While privacy is a right, you are not entitled to someone else’s labor. Consider that food and shelter are also fundamental rights, yet no one seriously argues that a farmer must grow crops or a builder must construct a home and simply give them to you for free. We recognize that rights require infrastructure, and that infrastructure requires sustainable funding.",
